Accreditation, Recognitions & Memberships
The American University in the Emirates’ College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the world’s largest business education network connecting learners, educators, and businesses worldwide.
AACSB Accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide and it has been awarded to less than 6 percent of the world’s schools offering business degree programs.
College of Business Administration Curriculum at The American University in the Emirates received International Accreditation by Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). CIMA has partnered with AICPA (American Institute of CPAs) and the merger is now named AICPA- Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and is the world’s largest professional body of management accountants.
The accreditation resulted in COBA specializations attaining equivalency and exemptions from CIMA that will ensure graduating market-ready students in the field of Business. Five of COBA specializations namely; Accounting, Finance, Business Management, HRM and e-commerce & Marketing have attained curriculum equivalency. At the undergraduate level, Accounting Specialization attained the maximum exemptions while MBA Program has achieved maximum exemptions which any graduate program can achieve. College of Business Administration BBA in E-Commerce and Marketing degree at The American University in the Emirates has been recognized by Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). CIM is the world’s leading professional marketing body with over 30,000 members worldwide, including more than 3,000 Chartered Marketers. The recognition allows students to be exempted from certain modules on their path to become certified in Professional Marketing and Professional Digital Marketing.

- IMA membership for up to 3 years while pursuing completion of the CMA exam
- Entrance fee to the CMA program
- Exam Support Package – an assessment tool that can help assess the content covered on the CMA exam
- Registration fees for the first attempt for both parts of the CMA exam
- Wiley CMA excel online test bank access for up to 2 years for both CMA exam parts (This is a new initiative for students in the Middle East region)
